Much like the Iron Ranger, the Pecos roper boots have a long history (100+ years vs 65-ish, anyway).

Still sold on the Red Wing Shoes website today, these boots are part of their work line, which features a poron insole instead of the traditional leather you'd find in their Heritage line.

Cork filled midsole and Goodyear-welted with a Vibram chemi-gum sole, they're built more like the Red Wing Heritage line of boots, in my opinion.

You can thrift unused and pre-owned Red Wing pecos boots on eBay for the best deals. Other sites that can work out well would be Mercari.com, Poshmark.com, Grailed.com, and Depop.com.

Oh, and the "NailSeat" terminology is just that the heel is nailed down — again, much like the boots in their Heritage line; many of their workboots are cemented or put together in other ways.
